Who We Are

CycleVoice is a guideline-informed appointment preparation tool designed to help individuals describe their menstrual pain symptoms and prepare for conversations with their healthcare providers.

CycleVoice is not a medical device, does not provide diagnoses, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) or the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP).

Information We Collect

CycleVoice does not collect, store, transmit, or share any of the following:

• No personal identifiers — no name, email, phone number, date of birth, or address
• No health information — symptom data you enter exists only in your device's temporary memory
• No location data — we never access your GPS or location
• No device identifiers — no device ID, IP address, or advertising ID
• No usage analytics — we do not track how you use the app
• No cookies or tracking — we use no tracking technologies of any kind
• No account required — there is no sign-up, login, or user account

How Your Data Is Processed

All processing in CycleVoice happens entirely on your device (locally). When you enter symptom information:

• It is stored temporarily in your device's memory only for the duration of your session
• It is used solely to generate your on-screen symptom summary and suggested questions
• It is never sent to any server, cloud service, or third party
• It is permanently deleted when you close the app or start over

HIPAA Considerations

Because CycleVoice collects no Protected Health Information (PHI) and stores no data of any kind, it does not function as a HIPAA-covered entity or business associate under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.

However, we are committed to the spirit of health data privacy. We designed CycleVoice with a zero-data architecture specifically to protect the sensitive health information of our users.

Third-Party Services

CycleVoice uses the following third-party service solely for font display:

• Google Fonts — used to load the DM Sans and DM Serif Display typefaces. Google may log font requests per their own privacy policy at fonts.google.com/about.

We use no advertising networks, analytics platforms, crash reporting tools, or data brokers of any kind.

Children's Privacy

CycleVoice is intended for users aged 12 and older. Because we collect no data from any user, we inherently collect no data from children under 13. We comply fully with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Your Rights

Because we collect no personal data, traditional data rights (access, deletion, portability) do not apply in the conventional sense — there is simply no data about you that we hold.

If you are in California, the EU/EEA, or another jurisdiction with data protection laws, our zero-data architecture means your rights are protected by design.

The content in CycleVoice is informed by publicly available guidance from ACOG and AAFP but is not affiliated with, reviewed by, or endorsed by these organizations.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify users through the app. Because we collect no contact information, in-app notification is our only means of communication.
